Blog: Working with localStorage in HTML5

I set out to create a web app with no database backend, but the need to save data. Being early january, the season called for me to make something about weight loss. (Oh yea, and since I started hacking for Miinto, I've become too fat, so I needed something geeky to help me loose weight)

I decided I wanted to try and build it with no frameworks, what so ever, which lead me to the localStorage JavaScript API. To my big surprise I found out it was widely supported in browsers. Even back to IE 8!

This is the final product; An iPhone optimized website to track how many calories you ingest every day.
